At the end of the year Prayer and Fasting programme, our Lord Jesus expressly told us that the year 2003 will be a year of praise for us as individuals and as a Church. Since the beginning of the year, all our studies, Sunday school programmes, sermons, prayer meetings have been geared towards teachings and demonstration of praise. So far, we have observed a considerable improvement in the life of our members to the effect that they are able to praise God more and depend on Him in prayers and His promises to be able to praise Him more all the time. Our Sunday school outline on these various studies are available for anyone who cares.

In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I welcome you to the official website of the Diocese of Calabar, Anglican Communion. Calabar is one of the ancient cities in Nigeria, West Africa. It was one of the initial Federal Capital cities during the colonial period in Niger. It is still natural, developing and very traditional. There are still worship of idols, fetish activities, traditional belief sorcery, enchantment, black arts, and traditional religions in the city and Diocese of Calabar. Calabar is the headquarters of the Diocese. The Diocese of Calabar covers the entire Cross River State. Cross River State itself is one of the 36 states in Nigeria.

Indeed we consider this yet another avenue to share with you the grace and the work of God in the Diocese of Calabar with the intent that you would be a partaker of the same goodness and mercy that we are experiencing. As we face the challenges of this millennium, with the advent of modern means of communication, we choose to explore fully the benefits of this medium of communication.

The Diocese (missionary and evangelistic in its focus and structure) is strategically located in the Cross River State, which is one of the 36 states in Nigeria. The Diocese has a total of about 50 Pastors and 60 Church Workers. As you go through this site open your heart to appreciate, visualize, partake and eventually contribute to the great task of preaching the whole word to the whole world as we are doing in the Diocese - God helping us.
